Beaujolais wine
Beaujolais winesMorgon
Morgon is one of the longest lived of all the Cru Beaujolais wines. In the best years, it can age for up to 10 years, taking on the exquisite character of high quality, beautifully balanced, old red Burgundy. Enjoy its deep ruby colour. Inhale its aromas of fresh raspberry and cherry that flirt with subtle hints of undergrowth and spice. Savour its generous fruit that blends seamlessly with rich, spicy notes havering above the gentle tannins necessary for ageing. Authentic and refined.

Moulin à Vent
This “cru” has the nickname “Lord of the Crus” as it is a full bodied, robust wine with a dark ruby robe. This wine has spicy aromas of ripe fruit having aged for a while in oak which make it a perfect match for game, red meat and ripe cheeses.
It should be served at maturity and at room temperature.
Moulin à vent can be aged in you cellar of 7 to 10 years

J. BoulonBeaujolais Vieilles Vignes
All our vines come from parcels located between the villages of Morgon and Moulin-a-Vent, two of the most reputed and longest-lived Cru Beaujolais wines. For our Beaujolais, vines are on average 40 years old, but the oldest parcels are up to 100 years of age. Older vines produce fewer grapes, making the final wine rich with concentrated aromas and flavours of cherries and raspberries. Experience the bright acidity and velvety tannins of this warm and inviting wine.

How does it get here so quickly, compared to March or April for a “normal” wine ? Thanks to a winemaking technique called carbonic maceration, where the grapes do all the work themselves (crushing and fermenting), a light, fruity and vivacious wine appears, no strings attached, with nothing in mind but your drinking pleasure. Don’t miss our Beaujolais Nouveau – just like our Beaujolais Vieilles Vignes, but younger.
